On tour with David Lee Roth. After attending the Berkeley College of Music, Vai started his career as a music transcriptionist for Frank Zappa and has peformed with Roth, Whitesnake and many others. He's and his playing have been featured in movies including Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Encino Man.
